Duties and
Responsibilities: A
licensed practical nurse (LPN) in much of the United States and most Canadian
provinces is a nurse who cares for people who are sick, injured, convalescent,
or disabled. LPNs used to be under the direction of registered nurses and are
now under physicians.
Salary: $41,100
Education: LPNs are licensed by the state in which they practice. To obtain an LPN
license, the state may require background checks and proof of education.
